On a plain background a painter places circles with small gold or platinum stripes (inside). We imagine them unfolding before our eyes, like a silk that magnifies the designs and contrasts. In the Orient there is a natural inclination to use graphics to structure space, clothing, and materials. In shadow and light, minimalist Wong interprets these oppositions.
